Last week I finally update all my Migaku setup to the newest version (9.X.X) from (8.X.X) but I've seen there are a lot of features missing, that I used daily and my mining efficiency (and confortness) has been decreased a lot.
Here is a list addon by addon of what I mean:
1. MIGAKU DICTIONARY / CARD EXPORTER
Here I've notice essential features that have been missed:
1.1 Being able to copy individual definitions. You can see what I mean here:
1.2 The old dic was more clear, more easy to read and more compact. Having each word and definition as near as the others, makes see all more clear (choose the kanji you were looking for, frequency, etc)
1.3 Missing "Copy to cliboard" button (the scissors one). This helped to copy the definition, the freq starts and the kanji/hiragana of a word.
In the past, it was so useful, but in the actual version, it's even more important. In Migaku 9.X.X has been added the possibility of having multiple unknown words in 1 card. My cards, usually have 2 definitions (the definition of the target word and other definition to a secondary word that I know, but I add it "just in case" I forget that word, to keep it 1T). With this feature missing, it becomes a mess to do that.
1.4 Difference between "Unknow words" and "Target Word".
If people like to have 2000 unkown words in 1 card, good for them, but as I mine with the 1T methodology, I only need 1 target word. In the old Migaku dict.
It worked in the past like this: If you clicked in a definition, in the word was sended to its field. If you clicked on a second definition, the word remained. If you wanted to change the word again, you could delete the word in its field and then there was space for the new one. Now, because of the unknow thing, it starts making a list of unknown words and for me, it's so annoying.
BUG 1: In the new card creator, when you create the first card (when the dict/card explorter is closed and it opens) the card creator does nothing. It only opens, but does not make the search or send the data to its fields.
BUG 2: When the card creator adds the migaku syntax, sometimes there are printed some parenthesis like those: { }. Idk why, when I find another sentence that gives me problems, I'll send it to the migaku team or create another forum post.
2. MIGAKU ANKI ADDON
2.1 The old popup on hover in cards looked so much better
2.2 Being able to use the former AccentAudio folder (now is not used due to copyright issues).
Stevi told me that the team was working in custom audio because Forvo is terrible, but if this will be a feature applied in, idk, 6 months, it would be amazing to have compatibility with that folder if possible (not provide the folder, just have that function, so no copyright issues.)
And that would be all. Right know I'm using 2 anki versions, with the 8.x.x version and the 9.x.x version of those missing things I see in Migaku (the dictionary/card exporter readability, being able to choose individual definitons, the problem with the unkown words/target words, and the AccentAudio folder support is what makes me using the old version)
