as it turns out the mokuro2pdf tool has a problem where it highlights text vertically instead of horizontally so it likely won't work with migaku reader even with pdf support.
pdf support would probably still be useful for other use cases though

I've found this really cool tool that makes reading manga super easy called Mokuro. It's an absolute godsend.
https://github.com/kha-white/mokuro
demo example here:

there is a tool that converts it into a pdf for use in ebook readers
https://github.com/Kartoffel0/Mokuro2Pdf (i don't think reflowable formats like epub are possible because it explicitly overlays the ocr'ed text over the manga page)
Being able to use this inside of migaku reader especially once migaku makes the jump to mobile would be a game changer since manga is by design super simple and accessible for beginners but traditionally has the problem that you need to use bad and clunky ocr tools to make it work. mokuro totally destroys that drawback so you are left with something that is just super accessible. I think that adding pdf support to the reader for this reason would be a huge boon. Obviously there are other reasons that pdf support would be nice, but this is the one that I'm particularly interested in.
