@anon-134 If you never figured this out, this is usually on Netflix when you have hardware acceleration turned on. Turning hardware acceleration off should help, however it might be laggy when drawing large video windows.

But depending on how your card template is setup, the blank card on front issue might just be fixed by running Tools > Empty Cards > Delete.

@chrissikek Yeah, Parsing isn't perfect for any language. Parsing for all languages is planned to get an overhaul later this year, but right now we have to make do till then.

If parsing for a sentence feels really off, you can use "Search for words in the dictionary" feature, which ignores parsed words via the "Cursor over Text + Shift + Z" hotkey (As seen in the toolbar help, just click the ? in the toolbar for other hotkeys). You can also just paste the sentence into a better parser like ichi.moe and see if that alleviates any confusion you might of had.

To add to the bug report, I'm pretty sure I've gotten something similar to this from trying to cancel out of card creation in Migaku Player before.

@anon-148 There are a lot of issues with any version of Anki past .49 on Mac right now. I'd try downgrading.

@anon-16u @anon-1f3 I am not sure if any of this will help, but a small chance they might.

• Are you on a Laptop? if so try plugging it into the wall.
• If you are running a high resolution display (like a 4K resolution) it might help to reduce the resolution or run Migaku in a smaller window.
• For Netflix, make sure do not test is enabled.

@nebzila What version if Anki are you running? I'm pretty sure the current Addon bugs out on any Anki version past .49 on Mac.

@rodrigo09 It shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't do any reviews while the addon is disabled. Another option is just use the Custom Study and increase today's new card limit. But then you would have to do that every day...

Yeah, there is a bug in the preset options. In the meantime just disable the Addon, restart anki and then add/clone the preset, then reenable.

Edit: Seems like you might also be able to temporarily disable addons by holding shift when starting Anki.

@vavvo966 Anki was developed with .49 in mind, so until they update it try downgrading and be sure that the Video Driver dropdown in the Anki Preferences is set to Angle.

I'm always going to prefer certain Forvo speakers over others, it would be nice to be able to say I want strawberrybrown or usako_usagiclub to play if they exist before any others. I just had a sentence with "臨時", and double clicking on the word gave me the first Forvo speaker, who can hardly be heard at all. Perhaps normalization would also be nice. But a priority would solve my needs in most cases.

Chromium should be able to handle these audio containers already.

I have the Extension installed in a Windows 7 VirtualBox VM, so I can pull it up when I help people in the Discord, however I constantly need to re-login after unfreezing a suspended session, which is highly annoying.

@clowdy-howdy Glad I'm not the only one that hates screen dimming on idle video. No idea why this became a near universal thing used everywhere. I had a CSS Hack that disabled that on Netflix before they revamped their interface, but I couldn't figure anything out since then.

Since this seems to be a common issue people are having right now...

If you are using a card type with no mapped fields, the card creator should display a notification saying hey your excellence, "maybe you want to pick a different card type such as Migaku <Language> or here is how you can setup your own card type."

Timestamps seem a bit off to me. They go into the future. ^_^;

Also can we move the "dark" mode button to the top bar on the main website, you have to blind yourself by scrolling to the bottom to get to it, provided you can find it.

Also, no dark button on the forums. Would be nice to have it here as well, perhaps in the profile drop down menu, if there isn't enough space otherwise.
