The Language Selection section in the Migaku Toolbar is broken for me if I try to use it with Youtube or Netflix.

What I expect to be able to do:
For the "Target" field, I expect to be able to select Japanese from the dropdown menu. For the "Native" field, I expect to be able to select English from the dropdown menu.

The issue:
Most of the time, for the "Native" field I can only select Japanese; no other languages show up.
Sometimes, I cannot select anything for both "Target" and "Native", making Migaku unusable.

I'm not able to reproduce this issue consistently. I'm using Google Chrome with no other Extensions that have access to this website; running Windows 10.

ADDENDUM: I discovered that I probably do not need a custom note type for this. The standard Migaku note type has all the functionalities I would need. I am able to achieve my desired result manually: when making a card from a new sentence, I can simply delete all but one of the added words, including audio etc. While this is possible, I would like to automate this part.

I am also just generally wondering if I am using Migaku in the intended way like this? Perhaps there is a better way to achieve what I want? I am continuously finding new functionalities, trying to figure this out for the last 5 hours or so. If there is a better way to achieve my desired outcome, I would very much appreciate some feedback. Thank you!

I have been fiddling around with this for quite a while now, but cannot get my desired result.

What I hope to do is the following:
Watching a video, I want to click on a word in a subtitle and then automatically generate a card for that word. The target language is Japanese. The card should look as follows:

Front:
Word in Kanji

Back:
Word in Hiragana
Word Audio
English Definition
Example sentence (The sentence that I encountered the word in)
Example Sentence Audio (from the recording)

I'm facing two problems I cannot solve:

1. If I highlight a word in the subtitle and then use Q to create a card, Migaku will automatically extract the entire sentence and not just the word. Looking at the Card Creator settings, it looks like it should be possible to create Vocabulary cards. But I don't understand how.

2. I figure that I might need to create a new note type for this to work. I have been following the instructions from the video below, however when opening the "Migaku Options" in Anki for my new note type, only one field shows up for the Front and Back tabs respectively. In your example, you defined fields ABCDEFG and would be able to see fields A on the Front and BCDEFG on the back. In my case, I only see B on the Back, despite setting up CDEFG beforehand as described in the tutorial.

@stevimigaku For some reason it was set to Cantonese. Thank you so much, this fixed it! I can now select everything as expected.

As the title says, the Migaku Toolbar is always enabled when I open a new instance of Chrome. If I set "Enable Migaku Toolbar" to false, it will reset to "true" upon closing and opening the browser.
This means I have the little Migaku icon present in the top left corner at all times.

I am not able to complete the "Basic Setup" part outlined in this tutorial

In Migaku Dictionary > Automatic Definition settings, I cannot find "JMdict (English)" in the dropdown menu. The only things I can select are "Google Images", "Forvo Audio" and "Tatoeba Example Sentences".

I have clicked the "Run default setup for Japanese" button on the General Settings page before, and it has seemingly installed "JMdict (English)".

In the "Dictionaries" tab, "JMdict (English)" also shows up, alongside "JMnedict", "KireiCake", "Tatoeba Example Sentences", "Forvo Audio" and "Google Images".

I would expect to be able to select any of these dictionaries from the dropdown menu as explained in the video above, however I can only select "Google Images", "Forvo Audio" and "Tatoeba Example Sentences".

I am not sure how to fix this - clicking on the "Run default setup for Japanese" button just tells me that "JMdict (English)" and the other dictionaries have already been installed.
