If one gives people lifelong access to a free buffet, one should also give them some hint as to how not to get fat …

The more one quickens/automates card creation, the more it becomes necessary to have a strategy to manage rep times.

Many people give up Anki b/c they get smothered with more and more reviews …

But — it's not 'all or nothing': better to rep SOME cards than not repping at all, b/c one has thrown in the towel.

Anki is a powerful tool; alas, the more daily reps start to take over, the more counter-productive Anki becomes.
