Inserting definitions from JMdict to make cards is broken Migaku Dictionary

Hi Guys hopefully this is a quick fix but I've been having this problem with specifically the JMdict (English) J-E dictionary that you can install directly using the browser extension. sometimes it will just include the definition like here (First img is with no definition and the 2nd is after I've clicked it) and sometimes it will just do the characters in JP.
I've reinstalled the JMdict specifically and that temporary fixed the problem but it has come back. Any thoughts on what I should do? I have the KireiCake J-E dictionary temporarily as a replacement but I would rather JMdict if possible
