Translations field for Anki wont work and Videoplayer doesnt function
-
Hello guys,
I just subscribed Migaku because I really like the idea. However, there are some problems I encountered.
One thing is, that the Translation field stays empty when creating a card. I already Add syntax on creation and the Translation is also selected. Other settings: Japanes, Default, Exact.
Another Problem is, that I cant use the sentence mining for my favorite Anime with the player. I already tried to use the migaku converterter. The video gets converted but still the sentence mining functions wont work.
Can someone help me out here?
Thanks alot! Cheers from Germany.

@stevimigaku So if i get it right, besides the video in japanese I would also need the subtitles of the video? Unfortunatly I only have the video. Is there any possibility to get the subtitles trough the audio of the video? Thanks alot!

Do you have the second track selected in the toolbar?
We don't have DeepL integration yet, so the translations are coming from secondary subtitles. So if a Netflix show has Japanese and English subtitles, you would select Japanese in "Target" and English in "Native". The extension would then put the English subtitles into the translation field.
- What exactly happens/does not happen?
If you use the Migaku Player, you first have to import the video. Once that is done, hover over the top right corner of the player and two buttons appear. Here you can import subtitles in an SRT format. It is important to select your target language when importing.
Here a video that explains it:
