Extension can't connect to Anki

Hi there,
I just started using Migaku (or at least tried to). This is what I did:

• I updated Anki to the recommended version 2.1.64
• I installed the Anki Add-on https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1846879528
• I installed the browser extension on the newest version of Chrome
• I performed the quick set-up for Japanese.

Problem:
In Anki it says that the browser extension is connected.
However, when I try to import word data from anki via the browser extension I get the message that anki is not connected.
The same happens, when I try to open the migaku dictionary.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Do you have a Firewall or similar active that could block communication? Other Anki addons could also be a cause.
