Change color for parsed words
-
Hi everyone,
I remember in a previous version of the Japanese Add on (hope itis the correct name as it was time ago...) it was possible to change the collor according to the different type of accent patterns.Searched here and there but couldn't find it any longer.
Is it still available somewhere?
Thanks. -
@makkusu
It was possible in the old Migaku Japanese Addon (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/278530045).But to simplify the process of setting up all the tools, all the old addons have been merged into on, the Migaku Anki Addon-on (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1846879528). Doing so we also removed some rarely used functions, as to simplify the UI and make it more user-friendly. So things like customizing pitch colors or converting 新字体 into 旧字体 have been removed.
Some functions are now also executed by the Browser Extension itself, as this is where they are definitely needed.The old addon can still be used, but its only usable with Anki .35 and will not work on the newest version, which is required for the Browser Extension to work.
Currently its not planned to bring back this function as there dose not seem to be any real demand for it. If there is demand maybe, but not as it stands currently. So for now the colors used for pitch patterns (red, orange, blue, green, violet) are fixed.

Hi Stevi,
thanks for a very "Japanese" answer.
ちょっと曖昧じゃないですか?pitch patterns is available...but you cant customize
in the Migaku Japanese Add-on it was/is possible to do that....But that's not used anymore
Still available on Anki Web tho...(where/how?)You mention "available on Anki Web"
Could you please share some more info on where can I find that?
Would that break the Migaku template?
Would that be reflected on the card appearance also on desktop/mobile?I just would like to change the colors of the pitch patterns. Is it possible?
If yes how? if not, would that be possible in the future?Thanks

@makkusu
Color coding for pitch patterns is available, but in the Migaku Anki Add-on you cant customize the colors themselves. In the Migaku Japanese Add-on it was/is possible to do that. But that's not used anymore with the newest version of the Browser Extension. Still available on Anki Web tho.
