My older cards with the migaku note type have forvo audio, so its still working technically I guess, but whenever I try to make new cards I can't seem to get forvo audio for the word. Whenever I try, I get a giant error code. Whats strange is if I just click on the word, I can hear the audio, but its not actually in the card's field for word audio if that makes sense, so its not automatically playing.

Ok your settings look fine. Could you pls @ Lucas on Discord? If the settings are correct there isn't much more I personally can do. He can take a look.

@aysus said in Cant get forvo audio to work.:

I only use the migaku cards. I only used the vocab note type , where you have the word on the front. The only Add-on I have is the single Migaku Add-on. Am I missing something?

Are you refering to the old Migaku note type? I assume you do, because you called it "Migaku Vocabulary". Basically when you go into the card creator in the dictionary and click on that grey arrow, can you see Forvo Audio being selected in the drop down?

This video explains how to set the card type up: https://www.migaku.io/video-guides/setting_up_custom_note_types_in_the_card_exporter

And here for the automatic export: https://www.migaku.io/video-guides/setting_up_automatic_defintions_in_the_card_exporter

I make cards manually when I find sentences while reading manga, but I also make them automatically through the extention when watching netflix.
I just tested it, and I wasn't able to get the forvo audio to automatically be added, but I was able to do it manually.

Right now i'm using just the Migaku Vocabulary note type because I can't use the Audio Vocab. Whenever I try, it tells me the front of the card is blank, even though its not and theres clearly stuff in the fields. I'm not sure what I messed up. I was out of the loop for like 8 months so i wonder if i'm missing something or something isnt updated properly. Anki tells me there is a update right now im hesitant to update it. Whenever I update something, something always goes wrong haha ( not just with anki, but with computers in general )

You can still add the audio. The question is, what is your current setup?
Do you use your own cards or the Migaku ones?
Do you create your card manually or automatically?

In whatever card you use, the field where the audio is supposed to go needs to have it selected like this.
