I have the JMDict English dictionary installed, along with a few other default dictionaries for the Japanese language. I'm attempting to set up card creation with anki. When clicking on "Add definitions automatically", then when trying to select a dictionary, the JMDict English is not shown. The other dictionaries are available to select from, but not JMDict English.

@anon-23d This is fixed in the redesign so it will no longer be a problem in the future.

@anon-1e0 Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This fixed the "problem" for me as well...perhaps the Migaku creators might want to change their layout as this is very confusing, basically in the window that popped up I had a dropdown arrow on the right that showed the language selection same as yours (Cantonese) but I couldn't see it by default, unless I'd seen this and poked a bit I would've completely missed it... maybe the developers could do something to correct this or make it more obvious so this isn't an issue for others in the future...

Had the same problem but it was fixed by this post: https://community.migaku.io/topic/202/jmdict-english-technical-issue/1

Basically, all you need to do is set your language to Japanese.

Mine was set to Cantonese, so that's where the problem was.

(Thanks to SteviMigaku for the solution)
