issue F2, F4 keys on Mac

Hello, the F2, F4 keys to add/remove syntax seem not to be working on Mac while using japanese IME. It works just fine while I'm using the French keyboard layout but as soon as I switch to Japanese the F keys start behaving very strangely (like when I press them they just undo my reviews instead of adding/removing syntax). Is this a known issue?
