Can no longer add epubs to reader, hangs on loading

Installed the new version and I am no longer able to upload epubs in the reader. These epubs worked with the previous version, so fortunately I already have these books in my library. Was trying to set it up on my laptop.
Loading gets to a certain point in the book and then hangs.

Bumping this one..been over a month. I did ping Kieran on Discord and understand its already fixed in dev, and will be incorporated in next release. Any ETA on that?

Any luck on this one? I tried more (and even alternate versions of the previous ones) and so far i can only get 1 to load out of 9.
They all worked in the previous version.
