Escaping syntax characters when contained in definition [FIXED]
-
Does anyone know if there's a way to automatically escape "[]" in Anki when adding definitions? Those are the symbols for the syntax, but are also sometimes contained on definitions, e.g. [0] = Heiban in shinmeikai. They are then displayed as follows:
See little 0 after the second してき
On hover:

Ok thats what I thought. I have the Shinmeikai with those brackets as well and it works as intended. -
@maiestas I solved it. It was again a Shinmeikai definition from the old addons that was getting parsed.

@stevimigaku I'm using the Shinmekai to check on the autogenerated Pitch accent. The Shinmeikai has format [X]. Those [] are getting parsed by the pitch accent generator when they shouldn't be.

Not sure what exactly you mean, but this seems like its not a normal card type. Normally on hover it should only display the reading colored according to the pitch of the word, plus a line to indicate the pitch.
