Expected behavior: When I select (or ideally – only hover on, if in parsing mode) target word and press “Q” – extension create card, where selected word goes to “Target Word”, and all sentence with this word to “Sentence”.

      Current behavior:

      1. Sometimes it only put all sentence, and ignore selected word

      2. Sometimes it put all sentence and unknown words, but not selected

      3. Sometimes it put selected word and sentence in “Sentence” field

      4. In reading mode on websites, using parsing, it put only selected word in “sentence”, without rest of sentence.

      5. Sometimes it not working at all, showing only empty dictionary window.

      OS: Windows 11
      Google Chrome: 99.0.4844.51
      Anki Version: 2.1.49
      Tool Version: 0.9.9.2 from store

Is it a bug or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

As you said, currently the whole system is based on the idea that you learn "with it" and slowly mark words as known as you go. When a sentence contains only 1 unknown word, you export it, and that word turns to "seen".

We do plan to implement a feature where you can create cards, that ignore that base feature. Not sure when thats going to be out tho.

@stevimigaku so, there is now way to automatically export selected word/phrase as "Target", and rest of sentence as "Sentence"? And it not planned in future? Similar how it now works with unknown word in second case, but only with selected. Because sometimes you want to save phrase you liked, but it contains all known words. Or sometimes it's confusing, why it export unknown word, but not selected.

Sorry if I used it not as it was designed, it just sounds cool for me, that I can export sentence and target phrase in the same time, but after buying annual subscription (because I believe in future of Migaku toolset) I realized that it's not working like that. I understand that it's kind of working with known/unknown system, but it's to much words for me to mark in English, and I want to focus on learning lexical chunks/phrases and complex words, and hoping your toolset can help with it 🙂

Thats not exactly how it works.
If you want to export a sentence while the text is unparsed, you have to select the whole sentence and press ctrl + q. If the text is parsed, you hover over one word in the sentence and press ctrl + q.
