Anki Error (not crashing) when I try to open selected word in Dictionairy

Already tried:
Oprating System: Linux (Ubuntu)

change hotkey with working ones from other commands
change video driver even though there are only two for me
restart anki, browser
try to copy the word via ctrl + c
tried to use the command from: within anki itself, browser, within the dictionairy itself
all of them give me the following error:

@bent @hajiboy I do indeed have the same issue, but I don't know myself how to fix it (I just don't use global hotkeys).

@hajiboy since you are using ubuntu, I expect you are not using flatpak
Could it be that you're using wayland (if you're familiar with the terminology)?

Took me a while, but I think you are using Flatpack version of Anki?

In that case Anki doesn't get access to the X Server and thus cannot press Ctrl+C to get the selectted text. I'm not quite sure how to get it working using that install. I think @JuliusMigaku had this problem before actually and might be able to help.

If you have alternative ways to install Anki you could also try those.
