Hmm.. I did not try to cancel out of the card creation, but I could possibly have tabbed back to the browser too quickly(?) while the console that appears for half a second when creating cards appeared.
[FIX] The language dropdown menu was missing in the card creator menu(as visible in the screenshot down further). It appeared after I resized the window. Everything works fine now.
@aysus
Ok your settings look fine. Could you pls @ Lucas on Discord? If the settings are correct there isn't much more I personally can do. He can take a look.
Hey, I was having this same issue. I fixed it by selecting the language of the subtitles when I uploaded them to the player.

Maybe this is also your issue? By default, it is set to Cantonese.
@rodrigo09
Then you will definitly have to create a copy of the card type. As to how to exactly change the font, I am not sure as I have never done this myself. I just used the default font. https://docs.ankiweb.net/templates/styling.html
@daichi
Thanks for the reply. Downgrading down to the previous version of Anki for mac silicon, anki-2.1.58-mac-apple-qt6.dmg, seems to have solved the issue.
I was also getting an error for the Kanji God add on of something along the lines of 'Bad CPU error'
